Who We Are :

Lotus Family Behavioral Services (LFBS) provides Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) in-home services to bring about positive change to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Working in the child’s natural home environment can help build on functional skills that relate to the family's routines within the home.  We are committed to high quality services and training. Our mission is to help children and their families:

●  Increase functional and daily living skills

●  Begin pre-academic skills 

●  Increase replacement behaviors for problem behavior

●  Offer parent training and support 

An aspect that sets Lotus apart from other providers is that we initially focus on providing parents with training that will set the family up for long-term success. Parents are viewed as an essential part of the treatment team. Individual parent training goals are critical elements of the child’s program. Lotus believes that it is important to make parents feel supported while gaining confidence in promoting change. Lotus staff are committed to helping parents learn new skills while being a part of the process of their child’s growth and success.  

LFBS programs are led by experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and ABA therapists that create a fun and effective learning environment. Evidence-based interventions such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is implemented to help children reach their full potential in their own home. Components of treatment are individualized and based on the assessment of the child’s behavior and learning style. Lotus staff are committed to finding why problem behavior occurs and how to promote behavior change by teaching new skills. A BCBA creates a treatment plan based on the child’s assessments and needs. The BCBA will then continue to supervise ABA therapists to evaluate the child’s progress. 

The first step is to have a diagnostic assessment from a qualified doctor, psychologist, or licensed social worker. Once you have a diagnostic assessment completed, you can reach out to us to complete an intake. LFBS will work with your insurance company to gain and continue authorization for services. Once we receive authorization from your insurance company, we will begin the assessment process. After the assessment is complete, a request for in-home service hours will then be submitted.

We are currently accepting referrals from Beacon Health Options in the Hartford, Tolland, Middletown, and Waterbury areas.
